The Philadelphia Reparations Coalition for American Freedmen was established to raise the historical, legal, and economic estate of the descendants of emancipated Americans whose constitutional entitlements were never fulfilled. The coalition began by organizing community dialogues, building partnerships, and creating unified spaces where American Freedmen could articulate their needs, document their slave lineage, and participate in structured reparative planning.
